ECHUCA 208 Primary School have made another major contribution to Barry McDougal’s Million Stars to End Violence campaign.

The students set out to make one star for every student at their school.

They ended up making more than 800.

This comes after making over 1000 leading up to White Ribbon Day in November.

‘‘It’s fantastic to have them make this kind of an effort,’’ McDougal said.

McDougal’s campaign to end violence has seen over 15,000 stars made so far, including Echuca South, Echuca East and St Mary’s in the campaign.

The campaign looks to have people unite together by creating the stars, thinking about ways to end violence in the process.

‘‘We know we can’t completely end violence, but what we can do is work together to hopefully keep it out of schools, homes and those kind of places where it doesn’t belong.’’

Mr McDougal hopes to begin placing the stars in buildings throughout Echuca next year as part of his campaign.
