KELLY Gould is Monash bound after receiving a first-round offer to study medicine.
The Echuca College student will embark on the five-year course with the aim of becoming a rural doctor.
The offer caps an outstanding year 12 effort for Kelly.
She was the dux of her school with an ATAR of 97.5.
Kelly said she was very excited to begin studying and looked forward to one day practicing medicine at a rural clinic.
“Over the years I have seen a gap in rural health,” she said.
“My grandparents had difficulty accessing the treatment they needed.
‘‘I decided to be part of the solution and help rural people gain access to medical treatment.”
