MATHOURA preschool is expected to benefit from new professional development opportunities for early childhood educators.

State Member for Murray Austin Evans announced Mathoura, along with Wakool, Gyndarna, Griffith, Griffith East, Coleambally and Gulpa Preschool had successfully applied for NSW Government professional development grants for 2017-18.

“I congratulate the local services that have applied successfully because their increased workforce capacity will have long-term benefits in their communities,” he said.

“It’s vital that early childhood educators can develop their professional skills, and that’s exactly what these grants are for.

“They’re also structured to ensure the investment goes where it’s needed most, maximising the benefit for children and local communities.“
