LOOKING for a fun Friday night out?

Look no further than the Echuca East Primary School Amazing Autumn Fete.

Held this Friday at the school, the much-anticipated community event will feature free entertainment and activities for all ages.

‘‘Come on down with family and friends, support a local Echuca school and have a great time,’’ organiser Jodi Ujimoto said.

Local emergency services will be showcasing their vehicles and equipment and you may even get to see the ‘‘jaws of life’’ — a hydraulic apparatus used to pry apart the wreckage of crashed vehicles to free people trapped inside — in action.

The 1st Echuca Scouts will be running free grass ski races, noughts and crosses, relays and more and for craft-lovers there will be the chance to unleash your creativity at the EpicKids stall.

As for the sports nuts, don’t despair — there’s something for you, with Echuca Basketball Association on the basketball court running free ball skills activities.

There will be colouring galore at the Shine Bright Echuca East Kindergarten stall, plus you can have a free guess of how many Lego bricks are in a jar with the winner taking home all the Lego.

On the night, Year 12 music students from Echuca College will perform with both solo and band ensembles, plus there will be a performance from Moama Anglican Grammar School’s Drumline.

Suzanne’s School of Ballet students will also feature three dance routines while Ishinryu Karate will showcase their skills with two demonstrations.

In addition to this free entertainment, students at Echuca East are operating an assortment of stalls, with most activities priced at one token ($1).

‘‘The ever-popular Jaffa bash, pick-a-choc, lucky dips and spinning wheel will be on offer,’’ Ms Ujimoto said.

‘‘Plus test your watergun skills, fish for a duck in the pond or try your hand at eating a donut on a string or bob for an apple, or just make some lolly kebabs.’’

For only two tokens ($2), those who love to sparkle should visit the glitter face and hair stall or have your face painted by the Bunnings professionals.

The animal lovers will be catered for at the animal nursery where you can meet some chickens, ducklings, rabbits, a calf and many more.

As if that’s not enough, bigger activities on the night include laser tag, rock climbing, archery, an inflatable obstacle course, mini golf and train rides.

And if you buy the $20 unlimited pass, you can enjoy these activities as many times as you like, all afternoon.

In addition to delicious food from Shebani’s and Monkee and Co, there will be American hot dogs, hot jam donuts, fairy floss, snow cones plus cold drinks, coffee and tasty homemade treats from the cake stall.

If you haven’t bought a ticket in the monster Easter raffle, there is still time.

Tickets are only $2 and you have a chance to win from a prize pool valued at over $3000.

Pop into the Echuca East office to buy tickets or at the fete, where the raffle will be drawn at 6.30pm.

The event runs from 3.30pm to 7pm at Echuca East Primary School, 21-31 Eyre Street, Echuca.
