ECHUCA East Primary School students were getting out and active on May 22 when an inflatable obstacle course came to the school for a day.
Students from Prep to Grade 6 had the opportunity throughout the day to have almost an hour to run the course multiple times, with students who had recorded a perfect attendance and good behaviour given an additional hour at the end of the day.
School principal Lyn Strachan said it was an exciting day for students.
‘‘We have high expectations from our students and so it’s great to be able to celebrate that,’’ she said.
‘‘Every child had a go and at the end we had a select group of kids in the afternoon who got an additional 50 minutes of time on the obstacle course.’’
Ms Strachan said the inflatable course, organised with the assistance of Obstacool’s Anthony Williams, proved a hit with everyone.
‘‘The kids had a lot of fun and there was amazing feedback from both students and teachers — it also ties in well with our active Campaspe strategy to get kids moving,’’ she said.
‘‘Anthony was wonderful and we had everyone participating, some were a little shy at first but after a while they were all running around.’’
